Description
Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Facility: Holy Cross Hospital (Trinity Health)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a busy Labor and Delivery unit.
- Must be available to work every other weekend.
Required Certifications and Credentials
- BLS (Basic Life Support): American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for RNs in Emergency Department; Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) also acceptable.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for RNs in CCU, ED, PACU, MICU, SICU.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for RNs in Birth Center.
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification
- License/Certificate Verification: Must be dated within 30 days of start; state verification required.
- Fit Test
- Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing: Specialty exam must be completed within a year.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Trinity 9 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days of start (includes testing for multiple substances; no THC).
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of vaccine, booster, declination, or exemption required (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Proof of vaccination or immunity required.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination series required; titers not accepted.
- Influenza Vaccine: Recommended (optional), with proof or declination.
- Varicella: Proof of vaccination or immunity required.
- Physical/Health Statement: Documentation from an exam within the last year confirming fitness to work.
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Required.
- Trinity Specific COVID Questionnaire
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Trinity Code of Conduct Form
- Trinity Confidentiality of Patient & Proprietary Information and System Security Agreement
- Trinity Job Description: Signed copy required.
- Trinity OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) Screening: Must be completed within 30 days of start.
- Trinity Skills Checklist: Provided by agency for clinical contractors.
- Trinity Profile: Resume, skills checklist within a year, and 2 professional references required for submission.
- Trinity Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
- Trinity Criminal Background Check: Federal, nationwide, and county checks from last 7 years, including SSN verification.
- Trinity Education Verification: Verification of highest academic education or diploma/GED.
- Trinity EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Screening
- Trinity GSA/OIG (Office of Inspector General) Screening
- Trinity Integrity and Audit Services Form
- Trinity Joint Commission Testing: CORE exam within a year.
- Trinity NSO (National Sex Offender) Check
- Trinity System Access Form: Must be completed and uploaded one week before start.
Additional Notes
- All certifications and required documents must be scanned and uploaded to the TrinityVMS system prior to onboarding.
- Drug screen and background checks must be current and completed before start date.
- Must comply with all Trinity Health policies and procedures.
This position is ideal for experienced RNs with Labor and Delivery specialty who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
