Job Opportunity: RN Perioperative Circulator - Adult Surgery

Position Overview

The Perioperative Circulator is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. This role requires clinical knowledge and judgment to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities may be compromised during surgery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room.
  • Continuously evaluate and document all aspects of patient care in the perioperative environment using the nursing process.
  • Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute operating room environment.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) Standards.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care.
  • Basic computer skills.
