Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Facility: Holy Cross Hospital (Trinity Health System)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Certifications and Credentials
- BLS (Basic Life Support): American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for RNs in Emergency Department; ENPC certificate also acceptable.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for RNs in CCU, ED, PACU, MICU, SICU.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for RNs in Birth Center.
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification: Required.
- License/Certificate Verification: Must be dated within 30 days of start; online verification required.
- Fit Test: Required prior to start.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Trinity 9 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days of start (preferred within 14 days). Includes testing for multiple substances (NO THC).
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of vaccine, booster, declination, or exemption required (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Proof of two vaccinations or IgG titer required.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination series required; titers not accepted.
- Influenza Vaccine: Recommended (optional), with proof or declination.
- Varicella: Proof of vaccination or IgG titer required.
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Required.
- Physical/Health Statement: Documentation from exam within last year confirming fitness to work.
- Trinity Specific COVID Questionnaire: Must be completed prior to start.
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Trinity Code of Conduct Form: Must be signed and on file.
- Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement: Must be signed and on file.
- Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing: Specialty exam completed within the last year.
- Trinity Job Description: Signed copy required.
- Trinity OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) Check: Must be completed within 30 days of start.
- Trinity Skills Checklist: Provided by agency for clinical contractors; required.
- Trinity Profile: Resume, skills checklist (within a year), and 2 professional references required for submission.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form: Must be signed and on file.
- Criminal Background Check: Federal, nationwide, and county checks for last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education Verification: Highest level of academic education verified and on file.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Check: Must be dated within past 30 days.
- GSA/OIG (Office of Inspector General) Check: Must be dated within past 30 days.
- Integrity and Audit Services Form: Signed within days prior to start.
- Joint Commission Testing (CORE Exam): Completed within the last year.
- NSO (National Sex Offender) Check: Must be dated within 30 days of start; all aliases searched.
- System Access Form: Must be completed and uploaded one week before start.
Additional Notes
- All required documents and certifications must be scanned and uploaded into the TrinityVMS system prior to onboarding.
- Drug screen and background checks must be current and meet specified timelines.
- Compliance with all Trinity Health policies and procedures is mandatory.
