- Block Schedule: Possible, at manager discretion

Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit and specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS, CHEMO, EFM) – verify with clinical track or manager.
Scheduling & Floating
- Floating to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance may be required.
- Float Policy Acknowledgement required.
Compliance & Training Requirements
- Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Core Modules for RN profession in California
- Specialty-specific modules depending on unit (ER, ICU, L&D, etc.)
- Regional Core and Specialty modules for travel assignments
- Epic training modules required for Epic access.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
- Fit mask testing required for travel assignments (updated annually).
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination (required if onsite)
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering last 7 years of residence/employment.
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in comparable specialty within last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must submit required documentation such as I9, government-issued photo ID, social security card, and E-Verify attestation.
- NURSYS license verification required for all RNs.
- Education verification required for all candidates; international education requires additional documentation.
- Skills checklists and competency exams may be required depending on unit and specialty.
- Some state-specific requirements apply, especially for Washington and Oregon placements.
- Floating policy and additional facility-specific compliance forms must be acknowledged.
This position is ideal for RNs with acute care experience who are flexible with floating and weekend shifts, and who meet Providence’s certification and compliance requirements.
