    Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN)

    Location: Torrance, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Position Details

    • Specialty: Cath Lab RN
    • Start Date: December 2, 2025
    • Experience Required:
      • Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience
      • At least 1 year ICU, ER, or PACU experience
    • Call Requirements:
      • 1-2 nights per week
      • 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks
    • First Time Travelers: Accepted

    Licenses & Certifications

    • California RN License (active)
    • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • Preferred: Cerner experience

    Skills Required

    • Recovery of cardiac caths, PCIs, PFO, CTOs
    • EP procedures including pacemakers, BiV, AICD, Cryo

    References

    • Two clinical references required (one must be from leadership) within the last year
    • One reference can be pending at start but must be on file within one week

    Required Documentation & Compliance

    • Background check within one year, updated annually (includes SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender)
    • Education verification or diploma/transcript as placeholder
    • CA Medi-Cal Search within 30 days of start and monthly thereafter
    • Drug testing within one year of start, updated annually (excluding Marijuana/THC starting 1/1/24)
    • Physical and health documents including:
      • Fit Mask test within one year (specific mask types required)
      • Tdap vaccine or declination
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with annual TB questionnaire if history positive)
      • Immunity or vaccination/declination for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
      • Seasonal Flu vaccination required for 2025-26 season (no exemptions accepted for registry)
      • COVID-19 vaccination or declination form required

    Competency & Training Requirements

    • Specialty competency exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (required for Cath Lab RNs)
    • Harassment Prevention Training (California specific, 2-year update)
    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (Aya standard, not facility required)
    • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification)

    • Home Health candidates require proof of auto insurance and must sign Home Health Acknowledgement
    • Flu and COVID-19 attestation forms required prior to start
    • Float Policy acknowledgment required for ICU, NICU, and Med Surg units
    • 7th Shift Agreement required for certain units (not for Per Diem)

    Additional Notes

    • Candidate must provide a current resume or application covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
    • Verification of employment may be accepted in lieu of one reference if necessary
    • All documentation must be uploaded and validated prior to start
