Travel RN Opportunity – Labor & Delivery

Location: Athens, Tennessee

Facility Overview

Two hospital campuses serving the community with a full range of healthcare services.
Athens campus offers emergency, inpatient, and outpatient acute care services.
Etowah campus includes emergency, outpatient, skilled nursing, long-term care, inpatient geriatric behavioral health, and advanced wound care.

Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: Details provided upon inquiry
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to Postpartum as needed

Beds:
- 10 Postpartum/GYN beds
- 3 Labor beds
- 3 Triage beds
- 11 Newborn beds
Patient Population: All ages
Patient Ratios: Not specified
Electronic Health Records (EHR): MedHost, Centricity Perinatal

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2+ years in Labor & Delivery nursing
Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- HWC (Health Worker Certification)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
Background Check: Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
Skills: Must be confident and able to work independently
Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no camouflage or non-facility logo apparel

Additional Notes

Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
Facility reserves the right to require additional certifications as needed

This position is ideal for experienced Labor & Delivery RNs seeking a travel assignment in a supportive, community-focused hospital system with a diverse patient population.
