Travel RN - Telemetry (Cardiac Neuro)

Location: Round Rock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: None
Weekends: 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule block

Unit: Telemetry (Department 62078)
Location: 3rd Floor, North Tower
Number of Beds: 34
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 7 RNs, 5 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 7 RNs, 5 PCTs
Patient Ratio: 1 RN : 5 Patients
Equipment: GE Telemetry monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Feeding pumps
EMR System: Meditech
Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Required Certifications & Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred

Cardiac assessments
Management of cardiac drips and medications
Post-catheterization procedures (Ablation, Pacemaker, Defibrillator, Watchman device)
Acute stroke assessments including NIH stroke scale, neuro checks, and dysphagia screening
