Travel RN - Case Management

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel


Unit Information

  • Unit: Case Management RN (917)
  • Setting: CPCU (Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, 3rd floor) and PCU (Progressive Care Unit, 4th floor - step down units)
  • Beds: CPCU - 14 beds, PCU - 14 beds
  • Patient Ratios: 1:14
  • Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • EMR Systems: Meditech and Midas

Job Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Case Management
  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse License
  • Preferred Experience:
    • HCA hospital experience
    • Midas and HCA case management experience
  • Must Have:
    • RN or Licensed Social Worker
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Job Description

  • Perform case management assessments
  • Discharge planning
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and constantly changing environment
  • Collaborate with a welcoming and supportive case management team
  • Work closely with consistent physicians and mid-level providers
  • CPCU focuses on cardiac step-down patients including CABG and TAVR patients
  • PCU manages a variety of medical step-down patients
  • Some patients require post-acute placements, many go home with cardiac rehab
