Job Description

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures (head, chest, spine, abdomen, pelvis, etc.) and assist physicians with advanced procedures such as biopsies, cardiac, vascular studies, bone density, and 3-D reconstructions.
• Perform X-rays as needed.
• Operate Toshiba CT equipment (experience required).
• Perform daily and weekly quality assurance (QA) on CT equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Start intravenous lines (IVs) and administer contrast media orally, rectally, and intravenously.
• Enter technical data (scan type, slice thickness, scan time) into computer systems.
• Use various software systems including ITS, Meditech, PACS, eMar, Pyxis, and EPIC.
• Prepare patients by consenting, explaining exams, answering questions, and assisting during procedures.
• Evaluate patient condition pre- and post-procedure and report changes to nurses or radiologists.
• Transport and assist patients as needed during exams.
• Maintain cleanliness and replenish supplies in the work area.
• Assist with emergency medical treatment under physician direction.
• Participate in scheduling patient exams to maintain workflow.
• Attend department meetings and in-services to stay current on protocols, equipment, and continuing education.
• Maintain required certifications and CPR.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a licensed CT technologist with ability to perform specialized CT procedures.
• Certifications:

  • CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
  • ARRT (CT) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Equipment Experience: Toshiba CT equipment required.
• Software Experience: EPIC experience required.
• Other:

  • Must be willing to perform X-rays in addition to CT scans.
  • Agency must provide radiation badge (not provided by client).

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (90 days ≈ 13 weeks)

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must maintain CEUs and CPR certification throughout employment.
