    Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Burlingame, California
    Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Float ICU RN required to work across multiple inpatient units including ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg.
    • Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend. No on-call requirement.

    Requirements

    • Licensure & Certifications:
      • California RN License
      • BLS (AHA)
      • ACLS
      • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
    • Experience:
      • Minimum 4 years of RN experience (highest required years of experience)
    • Ability to float to ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg units

    Background Checks & Compliance

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
    • TB screening: Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
    • Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
    • Fit mask test required within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
    • Immunizations required: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination during flu season. Religious and medical exemptions considered with proper documentation.
    • References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client).
    • Employment history: Full 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days must be documented and verified.

    Certifications & Competencies

    • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification mandatory.
    • Other certifications may be position-dependent (e.g., CCRN, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM).
    • Medication and competency exams as applicable.
    • ICU RNs may be required to take an EKG exam onsite after start.

    Facility Specific Requirements

    • Passport-style photo for badge.
    • Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, confidentiality agreement, vendor training, code of conduct, overpayment refund policy, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
    • TB questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
    • Religious accommodation forms required if applicable.

    Additional Notes

    • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

    • Floating across multiple units requires flexibility and adaptability.
