Description
CT Technologist - Contract
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Job Description
- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before patient studies.
- Inject patients with radioactive material as per physician’s orders following prescribed protocols.
- Complete all required documentation including logs, manuals, and charge documents; report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
- Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests; follow radiation safety guidelines adhering to the ALARA principle.
- Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries and activity levels before administration.
- Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
- Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
