Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health for a travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas.
Required Credentials & Certifications
- Licenses & Verifications:
- Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Driver's License/State ID (must be current and match address requirements).
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association required).
- CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course (completed prior to start).
- On-site portion of CPI/MOAB High-Risk training (completed at orientation).
- Testing & Checklists:
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out.
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year of start, updated yearly).
- Ascension EKG Exam (passing score of at least 80%, two attempts allowed).
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, completed within one year of start, updated annually).
- Ascension Unit Specific Checklist (optional for onboarding).
- Health & Immunizations:
- Ascension Color Vision test (completed prior to start, updated every 3 years).
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.

- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Background & Employment Verification:
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (completed within 30 days prior to first assignment, updated annually).
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start.
- Education Verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days prior to start).
- Employment Verification for the past seven years.
- At least two professional references completed prior to first assignment.

- Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile).
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment (provided upon initial assignment and updates).
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation.
