Job Opportunity: EP Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Los Angeles, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab with Cath Lab experience. This is a travel/contract position requiring day shifts with a call schedule.
Work Schedule
- 4x10 hour shifts, Days (07:00 - 19:30)
- Call requirement: 5 weekdays and 1 weekend per week
Required Specialty Experience
- Electrophysiology (EP) and Cath Lab experience required
- Arrhythmia Induction
- Cardioversion
- Circulate Procedures
- Insertion/Programming of AICDs (Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators)
- Tilt Table Study
- Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
- Experience with Maclab documentation system in EP Lab

Competency Exams
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Relias Advanced with Measurements) within 72 hours of signing, minimum 80% passing score, two attempts allowed
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Fetal Monitoring Competency Exam (if applicable for L&D)
Background and Health Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated monthly
- Education verification of highest level completed
- Physical exam within 1 year, confirming fitness for duty and communicable disease free
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 30 days of start
- Immunizations/vaccinations or documented declinations required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu (during flu season)
- COVID-19 (during flu season)
Documentation and Onboarding Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Emergency Contact Form prior to start
- Photo for badge (white background, shoulders up)
- Facility-specific documents including Oracle module completion before start
- Employment application/resume with at least 1 year relevant experience and 7 years work history if applicable
- Two professional references from manager or above within 2 years for clinical candidates
- Skills checklist updated annually (not required for non-licensed workers)

- Return to Office (RTO) form must be submitted prior to contract start
- Onsite pass/fail testing for Dysrhythmia/EKG and medication competency required; failure results in cancellation
