Travel/Contract ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Los Angeles, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night Shift
- Specialty: ICU Registered Nurse
- Required Experience: 2 years in specialty
- License: California RN license required (must be in hand)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience
- Current California RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA approved)
- Must pass standard background checks including:
- 7-year location history
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- Education verification (transcript or diploma)
- Sex offender search
- Required competencies:
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Basic Assessment A for ICU/ER/L&D/Tele RNs)
- Fire Card issued by LAFD-approved instructor required within 30 days of start (Blue Fire Card only)
- Required health documents:
- Physical exam clearance within the past year
- Fit mask testing within 12 months (3M Aura 9205+ or 3M 1860 Small)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination series (with boosters or declination if low titers)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or declination with proof of prior vaccination
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Sept-Mar)
- COVID vaccination plus booster or declination documentation
- Color blind exam (14-plate Ishihara test) required for ICU-related specialties
- Required training and attestations:
- De-escalation modules attestation
- Assault Responsive Competency (ARC) live training within 30 days of start
- Arbitration agreement and voluntary meal waiver
- Access request and badge/parking forms
