Job Opportunity: Mammography/Radiology Technologist

Location: King City, California
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Diagnostic Mammography / Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The role involves collaboration with radiologists and imaging professionals to ensure accurate imaging and excellent patient care across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures following established protocols
• Ensure proper positioning, image quality, and adherence to ALARA radiation safety principles
• Review physician orders and coordinate imaging exams with radiologists and other modalities
• Retrieve prior mammography images for comparison and interpretation
• Provide patient education on breast health and self-examination
• Serve as a technical resource for breast imaging, quality control, and equipment operation
• Advocate for patients by coordinating care to minimize inconvenience and delays
• Participate in departmental committees and assist with outreach and mammography service promotion
• Support Bone Density exams and assist with CT, General X-Ray, and Fluoroscopy/OR procedures as needed
• Take call as assigned and perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
• Minimum of 5 years of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• ARRT certification in Mammography
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk up to 46 hours per week
• Ability to bend, reach, crouch, balance, and push equipment as needed
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, and chemical agents
• Provide care to patients across the lifespan
