Job Opportunity: RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: D2, 2nd floor, Mission Main campus
Beds: 20
Patient Type: Inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care (medical surgical and/or step-down patients)
Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6 (stretch, depending on level of care)
Short stay patients (<24 hr length of stay) with quick turnover
Equipment: Telemetry (all telemetry patients hardwired to bedside monitor)
EMR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Telemetry competency

Preferred Qualifications

Recent progressive care experience

Work Schedule & Conditions

Every other weekend required
No on-call required
Floating: Travelers must be willing to float to other units as needed
Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs
