Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Shift: 4x10-hour shifts, Dayshift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • On-Call Requirement: Yes, 10 shifts per month including weekends
  • Schedule Flexibility: Block schedule may be discussed
  • Locals Accepted: Yes
  • Pending State License: Accepted if application is submitted
  • Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 winter holiday
  • Guaranteed Hours:
    • 8 and 10-hour shifts: 40 hours/week
    • 3 twelve-hour shifts: 36 hours/week
    • 4 twelve-hour shifts: 48 hours/week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Indiana
  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Strong experience with interventional cardiology procedures
  • Strong experience performing STEMI cases
  • Proficient in using Electrophysiology (EP) devices

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
  • Background checks including 7 years of residence/work history, criminal, sex offender, and education verification
  • State license verification within 30 days of start
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific respirators required)
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted)
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
    • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
  • References: Minimum 2 from recent employment verified within 2 years, with supervisory titles
  • Skills checklist and competency exams as required
