Description
Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Shift: 4x10-hour shifts, Dayshift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, 10 shifts per month including weekends
- Schedule Flexibility: Block schedule may be discussed
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending State License: Accepted if application is submitted
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 winter holiday
- Guaranteed Hours:
- 8 and 10-hour shifts: 40 hours/week
- 3 twelve-hour shifts: 36 hours/week
- 4 twelve-hour shifts: 48 hours/week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong experience with interventional cardiology procedures
- Strong experience performing STEMI cases
- Proficient in using Electrophysiology (EP) devices
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including 7 years of residence/work history, criminal, sex offender, and education verification
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific respirators required)
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- References: Minimum 2 from recent employment verified within 2 years, with supervisory titles
- Skills checklist and competency exams as required
