Job Opportunity: RN Psych - Psychiatric Unit (Travel)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work on a psychiatric unit with a rotating schedule including days, evenings, and nights.
• Approximately 50% of shifts will be evening or night shifts.
• Contract dates available from mid-March to mid-June 2026 (13 weeks).

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Psychiatric experience preferred (any amount).
• Medicine experience preferred (any amount).
• IV therapy skills preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license for Massachusetts (Primary source verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted).
• Certifications:

  • BLS certification required (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred).
  • N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed).
• Documentation of immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine or immunity proof required.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15), no exemptions.
  • TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if >6 month break.
• Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year of start date, updated if >6 month break.
• Criminal background checks including:

  • MGB Criminal Background Check.
  • Massachusetts CORI.
  • SSN Trace.
  • National Sex Offender Registry.
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid).
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city & state.
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or above in skillset.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.

Additional Information

• Must comply with all required documentation and credentialing prior to start.
• Rotating shifts require flexibility and ability to work days, evenings, and nights.
