Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Salinas, California
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (90 days ≈ 13 weeks)

Job Description

Provide individualized patient care in Labor & Delivery according to departmental policies and Nurse Practice Act.
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise care in the patient care area.
Collaborate with physicians, patients/families, and healthcare team members to deliver and coordinate care plans.
Perform nursing assessments and document appropriately.
Manage discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
Act as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
Participate in departmental goals, inservices, committees, and performance improvement activities.
Demonstrate flexibility with unit and hospital activities.
Maintain professional standards and comply with safety policies.

Required Qualifications

California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA certified.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified.
Minimum 2 years experience as Labor & Delivery RN (highest required years of experience).
Prior travel experience required.
Recent Epic experience (6-12 months).

Experience

Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
Prior travel experience is mandatory.

This position requires a skilled RN with strong Labor & Delivery experience, travel nursing background, and proficiency with Epic systems.

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
