Job Opportunity: RN Case Management

Location: Round Rock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No call required)

Unit Overview

• Hospital size: 209 beds
• Unit staff: 27 total

  • Day shift: 7 RN Case Managers, 5 Social Workers, 1 Case Management Assistant
  • Night shift: 1 Social Worker for ED coverage only
• Patient Ratios:

  • RN: 1:25
  • Social Worker: 1:40
• Equipment: Work Stations on Wheels (WOWs)
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems used: Midas, Meditech, Interqual, Care Port

Job Description

• Role focuses on care coordination and discharge planning
• Typical work environment includes collaboration with case managers and social workers
• Dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs; business casual with white lab coat also acceptable
• No weekend requirement, occasional weekends as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of case management experience within the last year
• Acute hospital case management experience
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Recent travel experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Midas, Interqual, and Meditech EMR systems
• Previous case management experience within a hospital setting
• Strong communication skills and clinical knowledge
