Job Description

As a PET CT Technologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection techniques.
• Adhering to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation when working with radioactive materials.
• Producing high-quality PET/CT diagnostic images.
• Communicating effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare team members.
• Training new technologists and/or support staff.
• Troubleshooting imaging equipment, including scanners, mobile coaches, monitors, PACS, and coils.
• Working in various settings such as outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital-based facilities, demonstrating flexibility.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of PET CT experience.
• Licensure/Certification:

  • Dual certification as a PET/CT technologist is required.
  • Must hold ARRT certifications in both CT and Nuclear Medicine OR equivalent NMTCB certifications.
  • Valid New Jersey state licenses for both CT Tech and Nuclear Medicine Tech are required.
• Additional Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications are typically expected (implied by standard practice but confirm as needed).
