Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Position Details

• Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: As required by facility
• Call Requirements: Call is required; 2 primary and 2 backup nurses over a 2-month call period. Rotating self-sign-up opportunities. Call hours Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

• Number of Beds: 23 ORs operating out of 18 rooms
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Patient Types: Neurology, urology, oncology, gynecology, robotics, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, oral maxillofacial (OMF), general surgery
• Equipment: Various, depending on specialty
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Summary

This travel RN position in the Operating Room requires at least one year of OR experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications. The role involves day shifts with call responsibilities and a variety of surgical specialties. The facility uses EPIC EMR and maintains a 1:1 patient ratio in a busy OR complex. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
