Description
Registered Nurse - NICU
Location: Joplin, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), 36 hours per week

Unit Information
- Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- 16 beds
- Patient ratio approximately 1:2 or 1:3 (estimates, not guaranteed)
- Equipment primarily GE
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), with NICU experience within the last year
- Required certifications:
- BLS (issued by American Heart Association)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS certification (preferred)
- Good team player with optimism, kindness, and initiative
Additional Information
- Weekend hours typically every other weekend, as required by the facility
- Call requirements as needed by the facility
- Float to mother/baby and pediatrics units as required
- Dress code: Black scrubs only; no t-shirts with writing except approved attire
Patient Population
- Neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting
Notes
- Flu vaccination required for travel assignments from November 1 through April 1 (exceptions require approval)
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
