Description
Job Opportunity: Technologist (PET CT)
Location: Washington, North Carolina
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
As a PET/CT Technologist, you will use strong communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety. You will produce high-quality PET/CT images by accurately interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate imaging parameters. The role requires flexibility to work in various settings such as outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital-based facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection techniques.
- Adhere to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation when handling radioactive materials.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Train new technologists and/or personnel.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and peripheral devices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT RT-N)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Nuclear Medicine experience

- Candidates should be aware of travel time between locations.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Time off requests during the assignment should be communicated in advance.
