Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Infusion
Location: Northampton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Provide patient-centered care in an outpatient cancer infusion setting, including:
- Chemotherapy administration
- Patient education and care planning
- Symptom management
- Coordination of outpatient services
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care addressing complex cancer patient needs. Practice according to professional nursing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year of ambulatory oncology experience
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Required Credentials and Compliance
- Professional nursing license verification (primary source) within 30 days of start date
- BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Background checks including criminal, CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender, and exclusion lists
- Health requirements including:
- TB test within 3 months of start date (or negative blood test)
- Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccination or immunity proof
- Physician health statement within 1 year of start date
- N95 respirator fit test and medical clearance (updated annually)
- Submission of resume with 7 years of work experience and 2 professional references (including at least 1 supervisor)
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
Additional Information
- Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) must be obtained after hire if not already certified
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing
- Must comply with all organizational policies and procedures
