Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule includes Friday only as part of a Monday-Friday schedule and on-call duties.
- On-call required 1 or 2 nights per week (12:00 AM - 8:00 AM) and every 5th weekend (Saturday/Sunday, 24 hours).
- No floating required.
- Charting system used: Centricity.
- Philips MRI experience preferred.
- Level I trauma experience required.
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- ARRT (R) (MR) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience working with Level I trauma patients.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings.
- Physical exam within 2 months of start.
- Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (3M 1870+ model required).
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 60 days prior to start.
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine no longer required prior to start; exemptions require mask use at work.
- Pennsylvania-specific child abuse search and fingerprinting required prior to start.
Additional Information
- Modules assigned by education department must be completed prior to orientation (approx. 6 hours).
- Pass/fail dysrhythmia exam required during orientation.
- Two professional references within 2 years of start required.
- Work history verification required.
This position offers a structured schedule with on-call responsibilities and requires specific certifications and experience in MRI technology within radiology/cardiology. Compliance with health and background documentation is mandatory prior to start.
