Description
Registered Nurse - Pediatric ER
Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Call Requirements: None
- Floating: May be required to float within competency level
- Additional Shifts: Required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Schedule: Varies based on department needs; may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Low Census Policy: Employer may call off shifts with 48 hours' notice without penalty during the contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nevada
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Room experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients in an acute care setting
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Room setting
- Deliver optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Address cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to pediatric patients
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety in patient care
- Engage in continuous learning and professional growth
Additional Information
- This position involves intensive continuous mental effort to provide safe and effective patient care
- The role includes interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with advanced pediatric emergency services
