    Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - GI Lab

    Location: Santa Rosa, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Administering and monitoring Conscious Sedation
    • Monday through Friday schedule (no weekends)
    • On-call required
    • Floating between similar units required
    • Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion
    • Locals accepted
    • Pending license not accepted

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California
    • Minimum 1 year of GI Lab experience within the last year
    • Experience administering and monitoring Conscious Sedation
    • ACLS certification
    • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
    • PALS certification issued by American Heart Association
    • NRP certification
    • Chemotherapy certification
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

    Work Environment

    • Acute Care Hospital setting
    • Total staffed beds: 277
    • Charting system: Epic
    • Free parking available

    Schedule & Work Conditions

    • Monday to Friday, no weekend requirement
    • On-call required
    • Floating between like units expected
    • Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

    Required Documents & Compliance

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and health screenings including:
      • TB test or chest X-ray (annual update required)
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) or positive titers
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
    • Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (annual)
    • Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • Education verification and employment references required
    • Skills checklists and competency exams as applicable
    • Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and regional) annually
    • Badge photo (passport style with neutral background)

    Additional Notes

    • Floating policy acknowledgment required
    • Must comply with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable
    • Modules and certifications must be kept current and uploaded as required
    • Facility uses color-coded scrubs for different roles (RNs: Royal Blue or Navy Blue)

    This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience in GI Lab or related specialty, comfortable with sedation monitoring, and flexible to float between units. The role requires compliance with comprehensive health, background, and certification requirements.
