Sonographer - Breast (Days)
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce complex diagnostic scans ensuring optimal patient care.
- Evaluate and verify image quality according to quality control protocols.
- Review and interpret intermediate/complex exams with physicians to determine if additional procedures are needed.
- Determine equipment needs for examinations and maintain ultrasound equipment, performing intermediate troubleshooting as needed.
- Inspect, clean, and prepare exam rooms after each patient to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Complete, log, and distribute billing reports accurately.
- Identify and recommend improvements to work processes and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in research studies related to intermediate sonographic procedures.
- Maintain positive working relationships with physicians, sonographers, students, and patients to ensure efficient information flow.
- Stay knowledgeable of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines impacting sonography.
- Develop and follow internal controls to ensure compliance with state/federal laws and accreditation requirements.
Work Schedule:
- Most likely Monday-Friday, 4 shifts of 10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Possible shifts covering extended hours including early morning and overnight shifts any day of the week
- Coverage may be required at multiple locations within the area
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARDMS or ARRT certification in OB/GYN or ARRT (BR)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience
