Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: CT Tech III / X-ray
- Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Required Certifications:
- ARRT (R)
- ARRT (CT)
- California Fluoroscopy Permit
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in California
- ARRT (R) certification
- ARRT (CT) certification
- California Fluoroscopy Permit
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC only (verify by position)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP only, must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course (verify by position)
- IV Certification (Venipuncture) – may be required (verify by position)
- State License Verification – primary source verification required within 30 days of start
- Tech Certification Verification – required within 30 days of start
Background and Screening Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable
- FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
- Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
- Drug Screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
- Employment application with full 7 years of work history, no gaps
- Employment verification for up to 7 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must state "cleared for work" or equivalent)
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types accepted)
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
- Hepatitis B – positive titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella – positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
- Seasonal Flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 30) or signed declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids)
Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (may be required for some Telemetry units)
- Telemetry competency exam for ICU nurses (if applicable)
