Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Somerville, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Must be ARRT CT certified.
• Must hold a New Jersey state license before start.
• BLS certification required.
• Perform all CT studies including CT Angiographies (CTAs).
• Ability to perform basic and advanced CT exams in both ER and inpatient settings.
• Experience with GE 64 Multi Slice Scanner equipment required.
• Average caseload: approximately 25 cases per day.
• Charting system used: EPIC.
• Must be able to work independently.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey (must be active before start).
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience performing CT exams in an inpatient setting.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Employment application or resume with 7 years of work history.
• Two professional references within the last 2 years (one managerial).
• Background checks including criminal, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and state-specific exclusions.
• Drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months confirming ability to perform essential job functions and free of communicable disease.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as per facility requirements.
• Immunization and health documentation including:

  • Influenza vaccination or approved exemption.
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination compliance.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity or vaccination.
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years.
• Respiratory medical clearance and on-site fit testing (mandatory).
• Color vision testing if job tasks require color discrimination.
• Completion of required competency exams and pass/fail testing (e.g., medication, EKG, IV therapy).
• Annual education sign-off and facility-specific orientation requirements.
• Compliance with facility floating policy and other facility-specific documents.

Additional Notes

• Must be able to provide government-issued photo ID and valid driver's license.
• Must complete required background checks and attestations prior to start.
• Must complete all required certifications and competencies as per facility standards.
• Must comply with all health and safety protocols including OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission training.
• Must be prepared for on-site fit testing and respirator clearance.
• Must be able to work independently and handle a high volume of CT cases daily.
