Registered Nurse - LTAC

Location: St Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks


Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care. The nurse will maintain clinical competencies through continuing education, delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and supervise assigned personnel delivering patient care.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
  • Must be able to work in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Telemetry setting
  • Must demonstrate leadership and delegation skills
  • Clinical competencies must be maintained through continuing education
