Registered Nurse (Med/Tele 2N) - Savannah, Georgia
Job Overview
- Unit: Medical/Telemetry (Med/Tele) 2N, Regional Admissions
- New 10-bed unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4, sometimes 1:5
- Charge Nurse on night shift (does not usually take patient assignments)
- House Supervisor on night shift
- Nurse aides available with a ratio of 1:10
- Respiratory therapy equipment includes nasal cannulas, BiPAP, High Flow NC (no ventilators)
- Monitor Techs present to read telemetry strips; RNs must be able to interpret cardiac rhythms
- Shifts allow self-scheduling and block scheduling, with flexibility for staffing needs
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: yes, unless approved time off
- No call or standby requirements
- Rare floating to Neurosurgical PCU with similar nurse-to-patient ratios
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- Orientation: One day computer skills training; 12-hour night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity
- Successful completion of at least 1 prior travel nursing contract (prior travel experience required)
- Current RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Ability to titrate drips (common drips include Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone)

- Location: Savannah, Georgia
- Contract length: 14 weeks
- Candidates must be located at least 101 miles from the facility to qualify (local candidate radius rule)
