Job Opportunity: CT Technologist II
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician (Contract)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
This intermediate-level position involves delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients. The role supports medical staff in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring a range of simple to complex conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specialized imaging procedures using advanced cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology equipment.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completeness and technical quality according to protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of imaging equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
- Provide instruction, mentorship, and in-service training to less experienced team members.
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in cardiovascular specialty
OR - Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology specialty
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist and/or Radiology Technologist
Certifications & Licensure
- Current CT credentials as required by the hiring department
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress
- Attention to detail and sound judgment in clinical and non-clinical duties
- Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs
Additional Information
- Must consistently report to work as scheduled
- Demonstrates initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments independently with limited direction
