Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in an acute care unit with 34 beds, serving primarily geriatric and adult patients; occasional pediatric patients are present but not assigned to travelers.
• Patient ratio is approximately 6:1.
• Unit includes telemetry, surgical, and general medical patients.
• Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors.
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner.
• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM.
• Weekend work required occasionally (same hours).
• Call required only when the unit is down staffed or placed on call.
• Float requirements: may be asked to care for inpatient holds.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 1 year of total travel nursing experience
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

• Dress code: scrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes only.
