Registered Nurse - Case Management (Travel Assignment)

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Hours: Approximately 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Day Shift)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Call Requirements: No call required; potential weekend shifts on a rotating basis

Unit Overview

• Unit: 3 Central – Medical/Surgical Case Management
• Number of Beds: 34
• Staff on Unit: 2 (1 RN Case Manager on day shift, 1 Social Worker)
• Equipment Used: Computer, iPad, work phone
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech, Midas
• Permanent positions available on unit

Job Description

• Acute care hospital case management
• Typical duties include discharge planning, chart review, patient screening, care coordination, and barrier mitigation
• Collaborative and organized work environment
• Requires ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and efficiently

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of case management experience, including acute hospital case management
• Case management experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Dress Code

• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Business casual attire expected when not in scrubs
