Job Summary

• Perform CT scanning procedures with professionalism and service excellence.
• Obtain and prepare necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to protocols.
• Maintain sterility of field and instruments.
• Prepare requisitions accurately.
• Communicate with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and respect patient privacy.
• Verify patient identification according to policy.
• Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections; report any sudden changes to nursing staff and Radiologist.
• Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
• Initiate emergency response if complications arise.
• Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage supplies in scanning rooms.
• Assist in inventory management and routine cleaning of CT equipment and rooms.
• Coordinate workflow, triage procedures, and communicate with departments regarding patient status.
• Screen patients for allergies and medication incompatibilities.
• Maintain QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
• Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols.
• Immediately process and communicate urgent imaging results (e.g., Code Grey, Trauma cases) to Radiologist.
• Notify Radiologist of any unusual findings to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT RT (R) certification
• ARRT RT (CT) certification
• New Jersey State X-Ray License
• BLS Certification
• High School diploma or GED, or completion of a technical training program in Radiography from a school or college
