Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location
- Phoenix, Arizona
Contract Length
- 13 weeks minimum

Work Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
- Call shifts: 6 to 10 per schedule, with a 30-minute response time required
- Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Holidays included in rotation
Unit Details
- Cath Lab with 3 main beds plus 1 EP and 1 Hybrid bed (vascular & cardiac cases)
- Cases per day: 10-25
- Nurse circulates; techs scrub
- Charge nurse present
- Nurse aides are radiology techs (BLS certified) covering Endo and CVOR
- Equipment: Phillips telemetry, Siemens equipment
- EMR systems: Cerner and Xper
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
- Floor-specific orientation: 2 days on the job
Patient Population / Procedures
- Interventional cardiology, EP lab, peripheral vascular cases
- Procedures include MitraClip, TAVR, IABP, and Emtala placement
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Arizona RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (max 2 attempts; failure results in 6-month disqualification in region)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of core experience in Cardiac Cath Lab specialty
- Level I trauma experience required; Level II trauma experience considered if busy
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Prior travel experience required for ED and Neuro ICU roles (not specified as required for this role)
Additional Requirements and Notes
- No facial piercings and only natural hair colors allowed
- Must complete onboarding by Wednesday 1 PM CST before start date; incomplete files will delay start
- Candidates cannot hold concurrent contracts with this employer
- Must have own vehicle for travel teams (not applicable for Cath Lab tech/RN teams)
- Parking assigned with shuttle service or garage for night shifts
- Nursing students may be present as this is a teaching hospital
- Auto offer possible if pre-screen recommended
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- 12-hour day shifts plus call
