Description
Registered Nurse (Pre Op) - Travel Position
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the patient population on assigned units.
- Ensure quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- Use clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures as needed.
Work Schedule & Environment
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- On-call requirement: 1-2 call nights per week from end of shift to 10:00 PM
- Floating between locations required
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
- Dress code: Pewter scrubs
- Blocked scheduling accommodated
- No weekend requirement
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of preoperative nursing experience within the last year
Licenses & Certifications
- BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
