Job Opportunity: Technologist (PET CT)
Location: Berlin, Vermont
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Varied Day Shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Perform PET/CT imaging procedures with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
- Use strong communication skills to explain procedures and connect with patients.
- Interpret physician orders and select appropriate imaging parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
- Work in diverse settings including outpatient centers, mobile units, and hospital-based facilities.
- Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for contraindications and following aseptic injection techniques.
- Adhere to radiation safety regulations and maintain proper documentation when handling radioactive materials.
- Troubleshoot PET/CT scanner, mobile coach, and peripheral equipment such as monitors, PACS, and coils.
- Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators as needed.
Equipment Used: GE Discovery PET/CT Unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Vermont
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Nuclear Medicine experience
- ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Completion of high school diploma or GED
