Location
- Long Beach, California

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Night shift, 5 days per week
- Hours: 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM (8-hour shifts)
- Weekend coverage as needed
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
- First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience
Licenses & Certifications Required
- ARRT (R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Venipuncture license
Patient Population
- Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Work Environment & Equipment
- Fast-paced, high-volume CT department
- 2 Canon CT scanners (64 and 320 slice)
- Tech Assistant available; minimum 2 CT Techs per shift desirable
- Documentation system: EPIC
Required Skills & Procedures
- Adult and Pediatric Acute and Outpatient Care
- ICU and Emergency Department experience
- Level II Trauma
- Toshiba equipment familiarity
- CT imaging of Abdomen, Enterography, Intravenous pyelogram, Pelvis, Chest, Vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta), Carotid, Head, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, Trauma head
- 3D rendering and Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Preparation and administration of contrast media
- Radiation safety
- Starting Peripheral IVs and Venipuncture
- Brain perfusion, Vascular CTA
- Imaging of Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, Thoracic regions
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Emergency Contact Form
- Background checks including 7-year search, SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (declination allowed)
- Immunization or positive titer documentation for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (declinations accepted where noted)
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (excluding marijuana panel due to state restrictions)
- N95 fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination (Nov-April) or declination accepted
- COVID vaccination record preferred
- 2 professional references required
- Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
- Annual internal evaluation if employed for 1 year or more
Facility-Specific Training & Modules
- Completion of HIPAA education module before EPIC modules
- EPIC education certificate required (approx. 8 hours of training)
- Completion of YouLearn modules assigned by facility
- Review of facility policies including drug and alcohol, hand hygiene, dress and appearance, discharge optimization, and care briefing
Additional Information
- Scrubs: Any style/color allowed
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in California
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Venipuncture license
- Experience in Acute Care settings
- Experience in Outpatient settings
