Job Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments of employees and document appropriately.
- Develop and evaluate plans of care based on age-appropriate and developmental needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to support medical management and teaching.
- Provide, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate plans of care.
- Initiate and participate in employee health and safety teaching, including safe work practices and equipment use.
- Provide assessment, first-aid treatment, and evaluation for injuries and illnesses per standardized medical protocols.
- Perform pre-placement physical assessments, return-to-work evaluations, health surveillance, and ergonomic evaluations.
- Communicate with employees, medical professionals, and claims staff for medical case management.
- Utilize clinical resources and referrals to optimize medical management, including temporary assignments in other departments.
- Complete initial case evaluations and monitor case progress.
- Facilitate physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care of employees.
- Participate in infection control surveillance and maintain statistical data for performance improvement.
- Contribute to cost-effective patient care by monitoring use of time, equipment, and supplies.
- Actively participate in achieving departmental goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 4 years nursing experience, including at least 2 years in physical assessment within emergency/outpatient services, occupational health, and/or public health, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Epic electronic health record experience: 6 to 12 months within the past year.
- Competency in independently performing nursing care procedures, assessments, treatments, and techniques according to written medical protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees, volunteers, physicians, and vendors.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under variable workloads and stress.
