Description

Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery RN

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Schedule Requirements:

  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required on 7/4/26
  • No on-call requirements

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Current RN license valid in Maryland (license verification must be dated within 30 days of start)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
  • ACLS (if applicable to critical care areas)
  • PALS (if applicable to emergency department roles)

Health & Compliance Requirements

  • Fit Test
  • Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (completed within 30 days of start; no THC)
  • COVID-19 vaccine proof including booster or approved exemption (valid through October 2026)
  • Influenza vaccine proof or approved exemption (valid for upcoming flu season)
  • MMR vaccination proof or immunity titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start (titers not accepted)
  • Varicella vaccination proof or immunity titer
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per regional requirements)
  • Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
  • Color Vision test

Professional & Background Requirements

  • Resume and skills checklist (within the last year)
  • Two professional references
  • Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years, including SSN verification; dated within 30 days of start)
  • Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
  • OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
  • NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days
  • OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check dated within 30 days
  • Signed Code of Conduct form
  • Signed Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure form
  • Integrity and Audit Services form (signed shortly before start)
  • Joint Commission CORE exam (within last year)
  • Specialty-specific competency testing (completed within last year)
  • System Access form (completed and uploaded one week before start)
  • Job description signed and uploaded

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maryland
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

  • Specialty-specific competency exam and skills checklist will be provided by the agency for clinical contractors.
  • All required documents and certifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
  • No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this assignment.
