Description

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Washington, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3x12 hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend


Unit & Patient Information

  • Unit: Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, Mother/Baby Couplet
  • Number of Beds: 8 Labor & Delivery, 8 Postpartum
  • Patient Ratios: Labor 1:1
  • Patient Population: Women in antepartum, triage, labor & delivery, recovery, postpartum, and well newborns
  • Float Requirements: Labor, Mother Baby, Copalite, Postpartum
  • EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
  • Maternal-Newborn experience

Job Expectations & Skills

  • Must be autonomous and able to function independently
  • Provide care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Mother/Baby units
  • Circulate in OR during Cesarean sections
  • Work night shifts with weekend rotation every third weekend

Dress Code

  • Scrubs: Blue or scrubs of choice
  • No unacceptable attire specified

Additional Information

  • Acute care hospital with Level III Trauma Center designation
  • Recognized for quality and safety in hospital care
  • Serves a broad regional population with comprehensive obstetric and pediatric services
