CT Technologist
Location
- Bangor, Maine
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Variable 12-hour shifts including overnights and weekends
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend rotation varies based on need
- No call required
- Holiday shifts scheduled in rotation with other techs
- 4-week schedule cycles
- Return to office (RTO) requires manager approval
Patient Population & Work Environment
- Care areas: Emergency Department, Outpatient, Inpatient
- Primarily adult and geriatric patients, with some pediatric and neonatal cases
- Outpatient cases include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, and trauma
- Average daily scans: 25-30
- Fixed location for CT; no floating between departments
Equipment & Technology
- CT scanners: Siemens Edge, Siemens Force, Siemens Definition (ED)
- Medrad Injectors
- EMR system: Cerner
- PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Maine state license
- ARRT (R) required; CT certification preferred
- BLS certification
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year CT experience preferred; more experience encouraged
- First-time travelers accepted
- Skills preferred but not required: CTA studies, IV start, biopsy procedures, experience with Siemens equipment
Orientation
- 1 to 1.5 weeks, depending on experience and comfort level
Support & Team
- Lead Technologist and Department Administration support
- Multiple CT technologists scheduled per shift
- Radiologist on site
- Internal transport assistance available
