CT Technologist

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Perform procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze diagnostic data.
  • Verify patient identification and pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age.
  • Obtain and manipulate CT images per protocols, including multi-planar and 3D reconstructions.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast safely, following protocols and verifying lab values.
  • Manage image transfer and quality control using PACS and related systems.
  • Maintain accurate patient and billing information.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work environment and document incidents for quality improvement.
  • Precept new employees and students.
  • Review patient charts and reports for diagnostic correlation.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
  • Advanced certification in CT required; registry must be obtained within one year of employment and maintained annually
  • Prior education, training, and experience sufficient to perform assigned tasks
