RN Cath Lab Position - Albany, New York
Job Details

- Shift: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide assessment, monitoring, and intervention during cardiac procedures including:
- Left and right heart catheterization
- Coronary stents
- Balloon valvuloplasty
- Pericardiocentesis
- Structural heart procedures
- Intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS devices
- Member of Emergency On Call Team (STEMI Team)
- Administer oral and intravenous medications
- Manage patients under sedation, monitoring for adverse reactions
- Educate patients and families on surgical site care, lifestyle, medications, and postoperative instructions
- Manage documentation including patient consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure records
- Collaborate with medical staff as needed
- Weekend and night call requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (American Heart Association certification required)
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- License/certification verification dated within 30 days of start
- Fit test (specific to mask requirements)
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster or approved declination/exemption)
- MMR vaccination proof or IgG titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
- Influenza vaccine (optional)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA test with chest x-ray if positive (per regional requirements)
- Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within 30 days of start
- Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
- Various professional forms and agreements including code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, integrity and audit services, system access, and patient information security agreements
- National and state-level screening reports (EPLS, OIG, NSO) dated within 30 days of start
- Joint Commission CORE exam within the past year
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
