    Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

    Location: Crescent City, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Position Details

    • Specialty: Registered Nurse (ER)
    • Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
    • Hours per Week: 36 hours
    • Schedule: Every other weekend required
    • Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of RN experience as per manager

    Required Certifications

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – valid for 4 years
    • State RN License – primary source verification required within 30 days of start
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP only, must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course (verify if required)
    • CCRN (Critical Care RN) – verify if required
    • Other certifications may be required depending on position specifics (verify with manager)

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California
    • Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
    • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • PALS certification
    • TNCC certification

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, and education verification
    • FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated annually
    • Official transcripts/diplomas or attestation of verification attempts required for education verification
    • TB questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider (MD, PA, NP/APN, DO, or RN) within 90 days of start, renewed annually
    • Various facility-specific documents and policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, overpayment refund policy)
    • Religious exemption forms available for PAPR and certain vaccine requirements, subject to approval

    Additional Notes

    • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
    • ICU RNs at some locations may be required to take an onsite EKG exam after start
    • Candidates with color vision deficiency must have an in-person exam documented by a licensed healthcare provider
