CT Tech - Radiology

Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic CT scans under the supervision of the CT Supervisor.
• Assist radiologists during CT scan procedures.
• Provide patient care across all age groups (neonatal to geriatric) following age-specific competency standards.
• Coordinate daily workflow and assist with throughput for ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases.
• Administer IV contrast materials under radiologist direction.
• Operate various CT imaging units, contrast injectors, and hospital/departmental computer systems.
• Maintain quality control monitoring and adhere to department policies and procedures.
• May be required to float within competency areas, work major holidays, and pick up additional shifts as needed.
• No call requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Nevada
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Travel experience

Work Schedule

• 36 hours per week guaranteed.

Additional Information

• Position involves technical decision-making to optimize CT imaging quality.
• Must stay current with advances in CT imaging, especially related to trauma, stroke, and emergency cases.
• The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with advanced imaging technologies including low-dose CT, PET/CT, and 3T MRI.
• The role supports a high-volume trauma and emergency department environment.
