Description
Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position
Location: Reno, Nevada
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Operate imaging equipment and related machinery to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Verify and execute physicians’ orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams, ensuring patient safety and proper preparation.
- Collaborate with Radiologists to determine contrast media and improve image quality.
- May assist other modalities within the department as needed.
- Perform additional duties including billing, supplies stocking, file maintenance, medical charting, informed consent documentation, quality improvement studies, and patient history acquisition.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with trauma and stroke accreditation.
Work Schedule & Environment
- 40 hours per week guaranteed.
- Shift and call requirements to be discussed during the interview.
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
- May be required to float within the organization up to competency level.
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.
- Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts with 48 hours’ notice due to low census.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Nevada.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Access to leading-edge services such as robotic surgery and comprehensive heart, cancer, brain, and nerve care.
